DNA CORE
Delaware Nucleotide Analysis (DNA) Core Center supports high throughput DNA sequencing and genomics research using state-of-the-art equipment. The core was established for DSU faculty, staff, students, and external clients in their research, and to provide DNA sequencing training and Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) services.
The Ethics Resource Site
The Ethics Resource Site was established at DSU as an intrinsic part of the Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR): Research Infrastructure Improvement (RII-1). Funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), with a 50% match from the State of Delaware, this program was designed to improve the scientific research infrastructure throughout the state of Delaware.

EPSCoR
The University of Delaware, DSU, Delaware Technical Community College, and Wesley College are partners in Delaware’s EPSCoR Research Infrastructure Improvement Program (RII-3) grant. EPSCoR, the Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research, is a federal grant program led by the National Science Foundation (NSF) to help states develop their research capabilities and institutions. It has served as a successful model for similar programs adopted by a number of federal agencies that sponsor scientific research.
IHER
The Interdisciplinary Health Equity Research (IHER) Center seeks to investigate the biological, behavioral, and social determinants of health: The largest contributors to differences in health and life expectancy among individuals and groups. Alongside the development of innovative interventions in addressing health disparities, strong partnerships between researchers and communities are central to ensuring the impact and sustainability of IHER Center initiatives.
INBRE
The purpose of the Delaware IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE) is to continue building a self-sustaining basic and translational biomedical research capability in Delaware. Under this program, DSU is pursuing diverse educational and research activities aimed at particularly increasing diversity in the biomedical workforce. It is home to several pilot projects led by DSU researchers and the participation of talented DSU students.
OSCAR
The Optical Science Center for Applied Research (OSCAR) is a state-of-the-art research facility where students, professors, and scientists use cutting-edge technologies to help solve real-world problems.
Office of Sponsored Programs
The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) is a support structure and seeks to assist faculty members in a variety of ways – identifying funding sources; assisting with the development of proposals, including the development of a budget; proposal processing, which includes pre- and post-award administration of grants or contract; and review.
